Kona Kai Resort

The Kona Kai Resort & Spa invites four-legged friends to enjoy the ultimate in hosPETality at San Diego’s premier resort, as part of our new IslandPaws program. The pawfectly island program allows humans best friend to become humans best travel buddy with canine friendly welcome amenities and special pet perks, ranging from Fido’s VIP Very Important Paws welcome at check-in, special sleeping bed, and in room dining options via the resident Bark Butler. It has a $50 nonrefundable daily fee per pet with a maximum of two pets per room.

Fairmont Grand Del Mar

Capturing the elegance and charm of an old-world Mediterranean estate, San Diego’s luxury Fairmont Grand Del Mar golf resort and spa welcome guests to Southern California with breathtaking architecture, acclaimed dining and impeccable service.  All dog-friendly accommodations are on the first floor. The resort welcomes up to two dogs per room if they weigh under 50 pounds each. (Other pets are not allowed.) Also a nonrefundable cleaning fee will be charged per stay.

Hotel Indigo San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

The Hotel Indigo San Diego Gaslamp Quarter welcomes pets, guide dogs, and service animals with open arms. (The limit is two pets per room.) Although no pet deposit is required, guests are responsible for their pet’s behavior and any potential damages. Pets are never supposed to be left unattended in your room, and it won’t be serviced if you do leave your pet alone. The hotel has a grass patch on the ninth floor where dogs can…express themselves.

Ocean Beach Hotel

The Ocean Beach Hotel is near Dog Beach, San Diego’s only 24-hour beach for canine companions. The hotel’s entire first floor is pet-friendly when you book a Courtside Pet-Friendly or Private Patio room. There are no extra fees for bringing your pet along for your stay. Two pets of any size are welcome, but keep in mind that they cannot be left unattended in your room at any point during your stay. Call ahead to make sure that its pet-friendly rooms are available.

The Sofia Hotel Downtown

Set in a 1926 gothic-revival building in the lively Gaslamp Quarter, this refined, historic hotel is a 6-minute walk from the San Diego Opera and it’s a short drive from dog parks such as the Little Italy Dog Park. The Sofia Hotel happily welcomes dogs of any size. There is no weight restriction, however, guests do need to pay a $35 (plus tax) pet fee each day.

Check in to a beachside escape at Pacific Shores Beachside Inn located in picturesque Pacific Beach, CA. Pacific Beach, known as “PB” by locals, is famous for miles of sandy beaches, perfect surf, and world-famous California sunshine. Pet-friendly accommodations are also available at the Pacific Shores Inn Pacific BeachDogs that up to 50 pounds are welcome for a fee of $35 per pet. (Dogs over 50 pounds are welcome for an additional fee of $50 per pet.)

Paradise Point Resort & Spa

The 44-acre Paradise Point Resort & Spa is a pet-friendly resort that’s surrounded by a one-mile beach. Dogs are welcome in designated ground-floor bungalows and can come with you to pet-friendly waterfront eateries on the island. Dogs should be well-socialized and non-aggressive with all vaccinations up to date. Dogs should not be left unattended in the room during any part of your stay. A one-time $150 cleaning fee is charged at check-out for guests who bring pets. Although pets are welcome in many areas of the resort, the Paradise Point Resort & Spa will let you know where pets aren’t allowed.
